OBITUARY Fannie Kuhns, daughter of Joseph and Catherine Kuhns, was born in Walnut Creek, Ohio, Nov. 24, 1862 and departed this life May 21, 1940 at her home in Milford, Nebr. at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 27 days. OBITUARY Fannie Kuhns, daughter of Joseph and Catherine Kuhns, was born in Walnut Creek, Ohio, Nov. 24, 1862 and departed this life May 21, 1940 at her home in Milford, Nebr. at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 27 days. She moved with her parents to Nebraska in 1873 and they settled on a farm near Milford. On Oct. 25, 1884 she was married to John W. Burkey. Those whom she leaves behind are as follows: her husband, John W. Burkey, her adopted son, Jay Burkey, three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Sanford of Ayr, Nebr., Mrs. Lizzie Stutzman of Beaver Crossing. Nebr. and Mrs. Mandy Troyer of Shickley, Nebr., three brothers, Will Kuhns of Corry, Penn., Joe Kuhns of Shickley, Nebr. and Henry Kuhns of Wellman, Iowa. Two brothers, Emmanuel Kuhns and Nathaniel Kuhns, and one sister, Mattie Stutzman preceded her In death. She was converted in 1884 and united with the Evangelical church. Later they moved to Western, Nebr. and she became a member of the Missionary Church Association located at Wauneta, Nebr., where she remained a member till the time of her death.
