Description	:	Fannie “Mae” Lindquist passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was 99. Fannie Mae Dunn was born May 21, 1919 in Grundy County, Iowa to Charles and Roxy Dunn. Mae graduated from Whitton High School in 1936. On October 15, 1938, Mae was united in marriage to Merlin Lindquist in Stratford, IA. The couple became loving parents to their two children. Fannie Mae Dunn was born May 21, 1919 in Grundy County, Iowa to Charles and Roxy Dunn. Mae graduated from Whitton High School in 1936. On October 15, 1938, Mae was united in marriage to Merlin Lindquist in Stratford, IA. The couple became loving parents to their two children. After Merlin’s death in 1984, Mae married Steve Altounian in 1993. Steve passed in 1993. Mae worked as a retail manager for Sherie Sue ladies clothing department store in Worthington, MN. In 1967, Mae moved to California working at Daniel Freeman Hospital in the insurance department. She retired in May 1987 and moved to South Dakota in June of 2004. Mae’s hobbies included making embroidery quilts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren along with many pillows of embroidery pillow cases. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to travel. Mae enjoyed traveling, and particularly enjoyed her trips to China, Egypt, Germany, Alaska and many other states in the US. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Karmel Berger of Sioux Falls; son, Mark (Betty Ann) Lindquist of Squaw Valley, CA; six grandchildren, Keith (Natalie) Berger of Lake Crystal, MN, Randy (Wendy) Berger of Santee, CA, Jamie Berger of Eugene, OR, Sheri (Dean) Campbell of Squaw Valley, CA, Amber (Rick) Rose of Exeter, CA and Brian (Jonie) Lindquist of Squaw Valley, CA; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces. She is preceded in death by her husbands; two brothers, Gene and Jay Dunn; sister, Opal Brown; and son-in-law Bob Berger. Interment will take place at Hauser Cemetery in Union, IA. - Miller Funeral Home, Sioux Falls SD
