She attended the Victor public schools, after which she taught in Iowa and Poweshiek counties following her graduation from High School. On May 31, 1902, she was united in marriage to W. F. Dale of Brooklyn, Iowa, and their new home was established on a farm near Brooklyn. She attended the Victor public schools, after which she taught in Iowa and Poweshiek counties following her graduation from High School. On May 31, 1902, she was united in marriage to W. F. Dale of Brooklyn, Iowa, and their new home was established on a farm near Brooklyn. Early in life she joined the Victor Congregational Church, later transferring her membership to the Carnforth church. She was a faithful member and a devout Christian, much loved by her friends and relatives. After a brief illness she passed away at her home January 6, 1936, aged 55 years, 7 months and 26 days. Surviving to mourn her loss are: her husband; two sons, Waldo D. Dale of Phoenix, Arizona, and William Dale of Brooklyn; one daughter, Lola, of Brooklyn; three brothers and three sisters. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends and relatives. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon from the Victor Congregational Church, with Rev. D. C. Snider, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, near Brooklyn officiating. Mrs. J. Jacobs and Mrs. Charles Ferguson sang "Saved by Grace" and "My Beautiful Dream" and Mrs. C. J. Raffensperger concluded with "The Old Rugged Cross." Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
