Description	:	At Lake Zurich, at the residence of Mr. Seth Paine, Fanny Jane, only daughter of Isaac I. and Ruth Mayo, late of Hardwick, Mass., aged two years and seven months. Her death was occasioned by sitting backward into a kettle of boiling water, and she lived but nine hours. 'Death found strange beauty on her brow, and dashed it out.' (Printers in Massachusetts are requested, &c). Western Citizen (Chicago), August 7, 1845. Burial location presumed to be in this lot with her parents and siblings.
