Description	:	Faun Leora Dumont, 85, of Sigourney, died Thurs., May 15, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness. She was born Feb. 18, 1918, in rural Sigourney, the daughter of Elmer T. and Mazie Leora (Ulin) Jacobs and received her education in Conner School and Sigourney High School. On Nov. 25, 1937, she married Wilfred Dumont at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. Following marriage the couple lived and farmed in rural Sigourney. They moved into Sigourney in 1987. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney, the Altar and Rosary Society and enjoyed crocheting, collectibles, birdwatching... Mass of Christian Burial was held Mon., May 19 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney with the Rev. Philip Ryan officiating. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in Sigourney.
