Pam Saturnia officiated. Pallbearers were Mitchell Hidlebaugh, Jason Brown, Caleb Dieckman, Lindy Carlisle, Jerry Sneddon and Jimmy Ruckles. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Whitlow and Travis Hidlebaugh. Burial was at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hidlebaugh was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Letts, a son of Alex and Eva Tisor Hidlebaugh. Ruckles on June 12, 1954, in Rock Island, Ill. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a carpenter since 1951, and a member of Union Local 1069 in Muscatine, currently Local No. 4. He was the carpenter union president until 1983. He also worked at Peterson Construction for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Vicki) Hedden of Wilton, Cindy Hidlebaugh of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Greg (Sherry) Russell of Wapello, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his mother Eva Hidlebaugh of Muscatine; four brothers, Weldon Hidlebaugh and Richard Hidlebaugh both of Muscatine, William Hidlebaugh of Bean Station, Tenn., and Ricky Hidlebaugh of Auburn, Ill., and two sisters, Alice Schreiber of Wapello, and Janet Ditmars of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1991, his father, one brother and one sister
