Description	:	Fay Verona McClure, daughter of H.A. and Charlotte Stevens, was born in Blue Hill, Nebraska, on January 6, 1895, and died December 5, 1977, at the Bethesda Care Center in Blue Hill at the age of 82 years and 11 months. She lived with her parents on a farm east of Blue Hill, where she grew up and was married to Edgar McClure on March 28, 1917. They lived on a farm most of their married life around Blue Hill and in surrounding counties. They had four sons. She was an active member in County Extension Clubs for many... Read More	Fay Verona McClure, daughter of H.A. and Charlotte Stevens, was born in Blue Hill, Nebraska, on January 6, 1895, and died December 5, 1977, at the Bethesda Care Center in Blue Hill at the age of 82 years and 11 months. She lived with her parents on a farm east of Blue Hill, where she grew up and was married to Edgar McClure on March 28, 1917. They lived on a farm most of their married life around Blue Hill and in surrounding counties. They had four sons. She was an active member in County Extension Clubs for many years, which she enjoyed. She attended Sunday School and church wherever they lived. After Ed's failing health, they retired at Westgate Manor in Blue Hill, where she continued to live after Ed passed away. She enjoyed living at Westgate, as many of her friends lived there. Failing health caused her to enter the Bethesda Care Center in October of this year. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, her husband and an infant son. She leaves to mourn, her three sons, Wayne of Nelson, Gerald of Iona, Idaho, and Gayle of Hastings; her sister, Mrs. Pearl Bergsten of Imperial; her brother, Arthur Stevens of Imperial; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Blanch Stevens of Blue Hill and Mrs. Agnes Stevens of Imperial; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, December 7, at the Blue Hill United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Blue Hill Cemetery. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, December 22, 1977; pg. 12
