Faye was born on October 24, 1918, in Hardin, Montana, to C.R. and Lois Winn. She grew up in the Hardin vicinity and graduated from Hardin High School. Read More	Faye Evelyn Louk Age 89, passed away on February 20, 2008 at Garden Village Nursing Home in Yakima, Washington, surrounded by a loving family. Faye was born on October 24, 1918, in Hardin, Montana, to C.R. and Lois Winn. She grew up in the Hardin vicinity and graduated from Hardin High School. Faye married her high school sweetheart, and partner of 69 years, Dr. Earnest L. Louk, on August 14, 1936. After his graduation from college, they moved to Washington State to begin his career in education. Her family was the most important aspect of her life, and she endured many sacrifices as she supported her spouse and children. Faye and Dr. Louk were longtime residents of Sumner, and Faye was active in both the Sumner Presbyterian Church and the EH Chapter of P.E.O. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, C. R. and Lois Winn, a sister, Arlene Winn, a brother, Bud Winn, and her husband, Dr. Louk. She is survived by her four children, Dale Louk (Berniece) of East Wenatchee, Wayne Louk (Sharon) of Yakima, Melvin Louk (Claudia) of Oakesdale, and Nadine Louk (Tim) of Palmetto, Florida, as well as 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Sumner. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. February 26, 2008 at the Sumner City Cemetery. Published in the News Tribune (Tacoma) on 2/24/2008.
