Madison to Ralph and Vera Walker Tripp. She graduated from Ft. Madison High School and Graceland College. Fern was a homemaker and was a teacher in a one room school house in the Green Bay Bottoms in her early years. She also worked at Harold Smith's Photography Studio. On September 22, 1946 in Fort Madison, IA she married Allen A. Larson, he passed away on April 29, 2008. Fern was a member of the Community of Christ Church and the Church Women United. She was an active member of the Ft. Madison Art Center and the Burlington Art Center. She was a talented artist and donated several of her pieces to different churches. She enjoyed traveling the world including China, Russia and the Holy Land. Survivors include three brothers, Wilbur Tipp of Niota, IL, Elbert Tripp of West Point and Lloyd Tripp of Nauvoo, IL; one sister, Cheryl Nelson of Independence, MO; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Revs. Chuck & Linda Tripp officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
