Burns, 82, died at 8 a.m. April 11, 1986, at Good Samaritan Center. She was born March 30, 1904, in Albia to Calvin and Lottie Havely Enix. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, 50-year member and past matron of Eastern Star in Eddyville, past royal matron of Christina Court Order of Amaranth, and member of Wapello White Shrine and Enterprise Rebekah Lodge. She was a clerk at Madden's and younkers. She married Clyde Elwood Burns on Aug. 20, 1924, in Wheatland, Wyo. He died April 20, 1979. She is survived by two daughters, Nell Brunk of Gretna, La., and Kathie Lawrence of Ottumwa; six granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. E. Charles Markman of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Eddyville-Highland Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established to the First Presbyterian Church Deacon Fund.
