Services will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein with Rev. Lon Landsmann officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, Holstein. Fern was born July 4, 1928 to Christian and Louise (Aufdenkamp) Einspahr in rural Kenesaw. She graduated from Trumbull High School in 1945. She married Lester Pittz on June 15, 1950 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings, Lester passed away on June 10, 2002. Fern was a homemaker and farm wife. Fern loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and caring for animals. Serving her church was her passion. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein, Dorcas Society/ LWML and was a Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher. She is survived by, two sons, Larry (Debbie) Pittz of Gibbon and Donald (Joan) Pittz of Holstein and one daughter, Carolyn (Jim) Nelson of Beatrice.
