Kromminga was born Feb. 23,1914 in Castle Grove township, the son of Edward L. and Meta Neunaber Kromminga. He received his education in the rural schools near his home. Fritz later chose farming as his life's work. Fernando Kromminga and Beryl Keith were married Feb. 26,1941 at Beryl's family home in Delaware County. The couple farmed near Anamosa for several years. They later farmed other farms in the Anamosa and Monticello area before moving to their present farm in 1955. Fritz was a lifelong member of SS. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church. He was baptized June 3, 1917 and confirmed his faith there in 1929. Fritz is survived by his wife, two sisters, Edna Byers, Anamosa and Ethel Wright, Des Moines; three brothers, Ralph, Anamosa, Richard, Monticello and Edward Jr., Omaha, ME. Casketbearers were Garry Kromminga, Duane Kromminga, Roger Kromminga, Lance Kromminga, Bradford Kromminga, Thomas Keith and Lynn Keith. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge of the arrangements.
