Description	:	Findrew Louis Nelson, age 86, of Arapahoe, NE, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was born August 5, 1919 to Peter & Mary E. (McGill) Nelson in Boyd County, Nebraska along the Niobrara River. He attended Country School and then graduated from Bristow High School, Bristow, Nebraska. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was born August 5, 1919 to Peter & Mary E. (McGill) Nelson in Boyd County, Nebraska along the Niobrara River. He attended Country School and then graduated from Bristow High School, Bristow, Nebraska. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy serving until 1945. On June 1, 1946 he married Edna Neumiller at Bristow, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for a couple of years. He would then work as a feed salesman for Norkco Seed Company before going back to school at UNL and receiving his degree. After finish his schooling, he taught high school agriculture for several years. After teaching they moved to Creighton, Nebraska were they owned and operated Finns Inn restaurant for 15 years. They would then move to Prescott Valley, Arizona were he would work for Waters Plant Nursery for 12 years. They moved to Lynch, Nebraska and opened a Drive Inn Restaurant and operated until 1993. In 1993 his wife Edna passed away. He would then move to Arapahoe, Nebraska to be close to family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, of Arapahoe, Nebraska and V.F.W. of Bristow, Nebraska. He actively participated in the Walk to Emmaus group. He is preceded in death by parents, wife Edna, Great-Grandson Tyce Thurman, & 6 Brothers & 2 Sisters. He is survived by 2 sons John & wife Marcia Nelson, of Hastings, NE Drew & wife Joy Nelson, of Creighton, Ne Daughter: Cynthia Nelson Collins of Arapahoe, NE Grandchildren: 8 Great-Grandchildren: 6 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Memorial services for Findrew Nelson, age 86, of Arapahoe, NE. formerly of Lynch were held Saturday May 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Creighton. Reverend Norman Prather officiated. Mr. Nelson donated his body to scientific research. Brockhaus Funeral Home of Creighton is in charge of the local arrangements. He died Wednesday at a nursing home in Arapahoe, NE.
