Have been unable to find him on the 1920 census. On 20 April 1922, Flavious R Dodds, a resident of Multnomah Co., OR married Aletha Sparrow, a resident of Deer Lodge Co., MT. They were married at Vancouver, "Clarke" Co., WA (Marriage Certificate 24612). The Oregon Death Index lists him as Flavious J Dodds. We were unable to find an obituary in the Portland, OR newspaper. Oregon Death Certificate #409: Flavious J (crossed off and entered R) Dodds, resident of Kalama, Washington, died at Good Samaritan Hosp. in Portland, age 34y, 6m, 24d; married to Aletha Dodds, b. July 20, 1890 in Kansas. He was a garage owner. Father F J Dodds b. U.S., mother unknown, b. Sweden. Informant Mrs F R Dodds of Kalama, Wash. Cause of death gangrenous appendicitis.
