Description	:	Flora was born in Bavaria and immigrated to the United States with her parents, John and Appolina Fix, in 1847. She married John Dodge in Muscatine County, Iowa on March 4, 1855. They were the parents of seven children. Four survived to adulthood: Mary Jane, George W, Augustus C, and John W. Her husband, infant children, mother and father are buried in the Dodge Family Plot in Muscatine County, Iowa. The lady was aged 75 years, 2 months, and 21 days. The funeral will be held today at 10 o'clock at the home conducted by Rev. A. Y. Cupp. Interment will be made in Victoria township cemetery in Cass county. Flora Fix was born February 11, 1838 in Germany where she lived until nine years of age when she came to America and settled in the eastern part of the state. She was married to John Dodge March 4, 1855 at Muscatine where the husband died January 25, 1889. Later she came to this vicinity where she has since made her home. Three children survive their mother: Mrs. Mary J. Maeder, Lincoln township; George W. Dodge of Muscatine; and Augustus C. Dodge of Massena. One son, John W. Dodge died August 5, 1911 in Arkansas.
