Born in East Chester, she was a daughter of Clifford and Helena (Dauphinee) Corkum. She enjoyed a good game of cards especially crib with her husband Arnie. She liked lexicons and working in her flower gardens. Flora was very grateful for the kindness of her neighbors Joan and Dick Bent and Glennie MacIsaac. She was very fond of and thankful for the kind deeds of Harold Bent and daughters Taelor and Jordan, Judy and Cyril Branton. She was a faithful member of Chester United Baptist Church. Flora is survived by her husband, Arnold; sisters, Alice Walker, Kentville; Viola Mae (Allan) Bremner, Chester; brothers, Theodore (Linda), East Chester; Allan (Marjorie) Corkum, New Brunswick; brother-in-law, Norman Eisner, Chester Basin; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Cook, Marion Rennehan and Averil Eisner. Special thanks to the staff of the Halifax Infirmary, QEII and South Shore Regional Hospital for their care and kindness to Flora. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Chester United Baptist Church, Rev. Dan Green officiating. Interment will be in the Baptist Old Burial Ground, Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chester United Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester.
