Born May 4, 1921 in Romney, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry Arnold Parker and Edna Mary (Moreland) Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles S. Detrick Jr.; and also a brother, Walter Jim Parker. Detrick Jr.; and also a brother, Walter Jim Parker. She was also a volunteer with the meals on wheels program. She is survived by two sons, T. Eugene "Gene" Detrick and wife Leslie, Williamsburg, Va. and John "Eddie" Detrick and wife Helen, LaVale; three grandchildren, Keith Detrick and wife Tami, Philadelphia, Pa.; Josh Detrick, Beaufort, N.C. and Meghan Detrick, Denver, Col.; two great grandchildren, Madison Detrick and Ethan Detrick; a brother, Jack A Parker and wife Anita, Romney; and a sister, Margaret Ella Couto, Red Lion, Pa. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, May 10, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 a.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sherrill Dillon officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
