She was born in Wilton, NH on January 27,1927 the daughter of Cecil and Catherine ( Thompson) Richardson. She was raised in Wilton, NH, attended and graduated from Wilton High School Class of 1945 where she was her class valedictorian She then went on to attend and graduate from Hesser Business School in Manchester NH. (Richardson) Dion, 82, of Leominster, MA, died Wednesday September 9, 2009 in The Highlands with her family at her side. She was born in Wilton, NH on January 27,1927 the daughter of Cecil and Catherine ( Thompson) Richardson. She was raised in Wilton, NH, attended and graduated from Wilton High School Class of 1945 where she was her class valedictorian She then went on to attend and graduate from Hesser Business School in Manchester NH. She had lived many years in Fitchburg, MA., before moving to Leominster to live with her daughter Debbie. Flora worked for the former Stuarts Dept. Store in Fitchburg, MA for over 25 years and was also a real estate agent for 6 years at First Realty. She retired several years ago. She was very active for many years with the Montachusett Girl Scout Council and was also an avid Red Sox fan. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster, MA. She is survived by her children, Robert E. Dion and his wife Barbara of Hollis NH, James M. Dion and his wife Laura of Lunenburg, MA, Gary J. Dion and his wife Shelley of Ashburnham, MA, her daughters, Deborah A. Dion of Leominster, MA, and Cecilia E."Cece" Kendrick and her husband Timothy of West Hartland, CT, her grandchildren, Ryan Kendrick, Benjamin Kendrick, Douglas Dion, Nicole Dion, Michelle Dion, Katie Dion, Megan Dion, Michael Dion, Marcus Dion and several nephews and nieces. Her husband of 49 years Edward J. Dion predeceased her in 2001. DION The funeral will be held on Saturday September 12, 2009 with a Mass at 9:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Lake Church 1400 Main St. Leominster,MA. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Wilton NH. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The Highlands Activity Dept. 335 Nichols Rd. Fitchburg,Ma.01420. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St. Fitchburg,MA. is directing the arrangements.
