Description	:	Florance Jane Larson was born on Dec. 10 1902 in Farnam, Lincoln County (was actually born in Ingham, Dawson County) Nebraska. She was the daughter of Joe and Isabelle Thorgerson Larson, and had five brothers and two sisters. When she was a young woman (16 years old) her mother passed away and she cared for her younger brothers and sister at their home in Eskdale Colorado, and later in the Genoa community. Read More	Florance Jane Larson was born on Dec. 10 1902 in Farnam, Lincoln County (was actually born in Ingham, Dawson County) Nebraska. She was the daughter of Joe and Isabelle Thorgerson Larson, and had five brothers and two sisters. When she was a young woman (16 years old) her mother passed away and she cared for her younger brothers and sister at their home in Eskdale Colorado, and later in the Genoa community. On Feb 29 1928, she married Floyd Otto Howe in the Evangelical Church parsonage in Genoa. She spent the next years caring for Floyd's daughter (from a previous marriage), Pauline, helping in many ways on the farm, and rearing their family. Mrs. Howe had spent the past two years in the home of her daughter, Rose Marie, and her family. She entered Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo on Dec. 26, and passed away Dec. 31. She was preceded in death by three brothers: three sons, Clifford, Harold, and an infant: two grandchildren: and one great grandson. Survivors include four children, Pauline Fleury (actually step daughter) of Kooskia, Idaho, Robert Howe of Vista, California, Rose Marie Henry and Dean Howe, both of Genoa: 18 grandchildren : 26 great grandchildren: and six great great grandchildren. Services were held at the Genoa United Methodist Church (same church as the parsonage she was married in, under a different name) on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. The Revs. Bob Flier and Ken Freeman officiated. Ellis Allen and Norma Ewing sang "How Great thou Art", "Because He Lives" and "Under His Wings" accompanied by organist Iris Fisher. Casket bearers were Floyd Howe, Donald Howe, Raymond Henry, Mark Riemenschneider, David Howe, Chris Howe, John Henry and Joe Fleury. Honorary escorts were Darvon Fleury, Carl Howe, Rye Fleury and Mark Lawrence. Internment was in the Genoa Cemetery under the direction of Love Funeral Home of Limon.
