Description	:	Crescent News January 12, 2001: Florence A. Moser, 90, Defiance, died at 5:55 a.m. Thursday in Laurels of Defiance. She was born March 15, 1910 in Defiance County, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Jacob) Hoeffel. In 1935, she married Clarence Moser, who died in 1989. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Altar-Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and 55 Plus Club. She was Vice President of Defiance Deanery, an American Red Cross volunteer and served on its board of directors. Moser, 90, Defiance, died at 5:55 a.m. Thursday in Laurels of Defiance. She was born March 15, 1910 in Defiance County, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Jacob) Hoeffel. In 1935, she married Clarence Moser, who died in 1989. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Altar-Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and 55 Plus Club. She was Vice President of Defiance Deanery, an American Red Cross volunteer and served on its board of directors. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Defiance and Willis, Apache Junction, Arizona; two sisters, Leona Wisda and Mrs. Howard (Rita) Shock, both of Defiance; and seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and an great-great-grandchild. Also preceding her in death were five sisters, Madonna Simonis, Katherine Miller, Donelda Schindler, Sister M. Firma and Gertrude Simonis; and two brothers, Leo and Aloysius Hoeffel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with Father David Tscherne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetary. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Preferred memorials are to masses or a charity of the donor's choice.
