Description	:	Florence "Bette" Larsen, 90, of Bridger, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, Nov. 11, 2012, after a brief stay at Aspen Meadows in Billings. Bette was born on Feb. 27, 1922, in Bridger, the seventh of nine children born to Claude and Blanche Schwend. She was raised in Bridger and graduated from Bridger High School. Read More	Florence "Bette" Larsen, 90, of Bridger, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, Nov. 11, 2012, after a brief stay at Aspen Meadows in Billings. Bette was born on Feb. 27, 1922, in Bridger, the seventh of nine children born to Claude and Blanche Schwend. She was raised in Bridger and graduated from Bridger High School. On June 28, 1942, Bette married E.J. "Buster" Larsen in Bridger. After Buster returned from Army service during World War II, they farmed on Willow Creek near Red Lodge for ten years. They lived in Powell, Wyo., for seven years before settling in Bridger. Bette worked at the Bridger Rexall Drug Store for several years and also at Bridger IGA. She then drove bus for Bridger schools, including activities and field trips. Bette was later involved with the Grandma Program as a teacher's aide in the Bridger school system, working into her early 80s. Bette was a creative person who greatly enjoyed painting, flower arranging, crossword puzzles and a variety of arts and crafts until the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Jess, Bert, Walt and Bill; three sisters, Evelyn Lawson, Gladys Anderson and Ethel Ellis; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Larsen. Survivors include two sons, Ron Larsen of Billings and Vic (Margaret) Larsen of Cody, Wyo.; two daughters, Sandra (Bob) Harrell of Austin, Texas, and Cheryl (Tom) McCarten of Bridger; one brother, Jack Schwend of Rosebud; six grandchildren, Veronica, Sara (Chris), Jay (Ashley), Ben (Alena), and Shane and Kellie; 11 great-grandchildren, Taelor, Austin, Erika, Dylan, Alix, Emily, Brooklyn, Miah, Grady, Eric and Griffin; and special friends, Maxine Dell and Linda Kern. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridger. Cremation will follow, and interment will be at a later date in the Bridger Cemetery. Smith-Olcott Funeral Chapel of Red Lodge is assisting with the arrangements
