Description	:	Florence Diehl Petermeier Damman was born Sept. 20, 1878, in Baxter, Iowa, to Julius and Elizabeth Ulrich Diehl. She attended Baxter area schools. She was married to Simon Petermeier Oct.1, 1895, in Jasper County, until his death in 1933; and to Fred Damman Aug. 18, 1941 in Unionville, MO. A resident of Baxter since 1942, she died Friday, July 26, 1974, at the Colonial Manor in Baxter at the age of 95. Florence was preceded in death by her first husband, Simon Petermeier, her second husband, Fred Damman in 1957; her parents and four sisters. Services were held Monday morning, July 29, 1974, at the Boyd Nickell Funeral Home. The Rev. T. A. Thompson, pastor of the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ, conducted the services. Florence was buried beside her husband Simon Petermeier in Restland Cemetery at Baxter.
