Read More	Florence Edith Ross was born May 30, 1926 in New Market, Iowa, the daughter of William Elwood and Zula Acle (Webb) Reynolds. She passed away on Saturday morning, June 26, 2016 at Westridge Quality Care & Rehab in Clarinda, Iowa at the age of 90 years and 26 days. Florence grew up and attended school in New Market. On September 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to William Oppie Ross in Atchison, Kansas. This union was blessed with 2 sons, Gary and Lanny. Florence and her sister Doris ran the rendering truck during WW II. She later worked for Swift & Company before starting a 29-year career at the Mental Health Institute working in the dietary department. She was a member of Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. She attended the Methodist Church and enjoyed embroidery and riding with Bill in the truck. Her true love was her family, especially the grandchildren, great grandchildren and most recently her great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; a brother, LaVern Reynolds; two sisters, Doris Long and Ethel Albin; a daughter-in-law, Myra Ross; and a great grandson, Scotty Ross. Survivors include her sons, Gary Ross of Maitland, Missouri, Lanny Ross of New Market, Iowa; her grandchildren, Brad Ross and his wife Jelisa of Clarinda, Iowa, Clifford Ross of Maryville, Missouri, Tiffany Schluter and her husband Keith of Hopkins, Missouri, Michelle Hobbick and her husband Eric of New Market, Iowa; great grandchildren, Jordan Ross, Shawn Ross, Alex Ross, Jake Ross, Danielle Hobbick, Kylie Schluter, Cambry Schluter; great-great granddaughter, Alania Ross; along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda with Pastor Dan Wiebesiek officiating. Burial will be in the Memory Cemetery at New Market, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will take place on Tuesday evening, June 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda.
