She was born December 12, 1914. in Exeter, daughter of the late Samuel T. and Cora Emily (Watson) Adams, Sr. Florence was a lifelong resident of Exeter and was a graduate of the local Robinson Female Seminary, Class of 1932. Read More	Extracted from Brewitt Funeral Home obituary: Florence Elizabeth Adams, 91, of Exeter NH, died January 31, 2006, at her home. She was born December 12, 1914. in Exeter, daughter of the late Samuel T. and Cora Emily (Watson) Adams, Sr. Florence was a lifelong resident of Exeter and was a graduate of the local Robinson Female Seminary, Class of 1932. During World War II, she was a "Rosie-the-Riveter," having driven a fork lift truck at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Later, she trained as a hairdresser and worked within the field for 40+ years, including a number of years at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood NH. Ms. Adams was active in local organizations including being a 75-year member of the Gilman Grange #1 and a former Past Master. She was a longtime member of the Exeter Congregational Church, and as of recent years, she was a former participant and performer of the "Mrs. New Hampshire" pageant, and then performed for several years with the "Kitchen Kut-Ups and the "Notes" in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Florence was an accomplished seamstress who was known to make handicrafts, dolls, scrubbers, and aprons. She will be remembered as a beloved Aunt and good Friend. She was pre-deceased by her twin brothers Samuel T. Adams, Jr., and Watson C. Adams and sisters Mary Stearns and Ruth Kruger. Ms. Adams is survived by her nephews David Kruger of Exeter NH, Richard Kruger of Jericho VT, and Robert Kruger of Richmond VA; nieces Sandra J. Cyr of Amesbury MA., Gail Bird of Mesa AZ, and Marcia Stearns of New Jersey; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
