Description	:	Florence Elizabeth "Beth" (Boultinghouse) Sharp, 82, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009. Beth was born, a twin, on March 24, 1927, to Lou and Dora (Treadwell) Boultinghouse. Her childhood was spent in Kill Creek, Osborne County, and she graduated from Osborne High School in the class of '45. On Oct. 27, 1946, Beth married Dan R. Sharp. Read More	Florence Elizabeth "Beth" (Boultinghouse) Sharp, 82, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009. Beth was born, a twin, on March 24, 1927, to Lou and Dora (Treadwell) Boultinghouse. Her childhood was spent in Kill Creek, Osborne County, and she graduated from Osborne High School in the class of '45. On Oct. 27, 1946, Beth married Dan R. Sharp. Beth helped Dan for more than 62 years in farming, custom cutting, and auto trading, as a homemaker, bookkeeper, wife and mother. Together they built two homes, raised three children and lived a full life with an extended family and many friends in Downs: square dancing, boating, bowling, playing bridge and supporting many community activities. Beth was a member of the Downs United Methodist Church and had been active in United Methodist Women; a charter member of DDDFamily Community Education (FCE), and a life time member of the Girl Scouts of America, having served as Board Member for the Central Kansas Council for many years. In addition to being an exceptional cook, baker, seamstress, and gardener, Beth's hobby was family history research that has resulted in a collection known as "The Boultinghouse Connection" and she has been a member of the Downs and Osborne County Historical Societies. Beth and Dan are the parents of Mike and Brian (Ginna), all of Downs, and Lori (Pete) Barnard, of Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren, Christi (Sharp) Kemmel, and Alisha and Kasie Sharp, all of Richardson, Texas, Chase and Coe Weis and Clayton Sharp, all of Downs, and Andrea, and twins, Kari and Mark Barnard, of Salt Lake City; brother, Lou Boultinghouse, of Garden City; sisters, Ann Vandament, of Osborne, and Brownine Gass, of Omaha, Neb.; and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Beth was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Bob. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, June 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Downs United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at the church. Interment will be at the Downs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church and the Solomon Valley Hospice, in care of Domoney Funeral Home, 817 Morgan Ave., Downs 67437.
