Description	:	Saturday’s BEDFORD MAIL carried the following regarding the funeral of Mrs. Sherman HOLMES: The funeral services, sacred to the memory of Mrs. Sherman HOLMES, who passed away Wednesday at the Dunn Memorial Hospital, were held Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the Lowder Cemetery near Popcorn and it is said to have been the largest funeral ever held there, relatives and friends from the whole countryside having taken this opportunity of paying their last sad tribute of respect to the deceased. Many beautiful floral offerings testified to the affection of friends as well as sympathy for the family in this their darkest hour of sorrow. A quintet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Rolla HOLMES, Joe PARKER, Mr. and Mrs. Everett WILSON, sang “Angel Band,” and another favorite hymn of the deceased.
