Mrs Husted taught home economics for 30 years in the Stryker and Fairview school districts in Ohio. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She graduated from Purdue University in 1931, and was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Claude. She and her husband joined the Peace Corps and went on assignment to Western Samoa in the South Pacific. She had a close relationship with a local Samoan girl, who, when she married, named her first two children Florence and Claude. She was born March 18, 1911 in Waterloo to Henry and Addie (Jackman) Renner who both preceded her in death. She married Claude Husted on Sept 5, 1933. He died April 17, 2005. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-lawof Mount Vernon, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law of Houston; a sister of Dallas; three grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren,; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Gertrude Renner Shearer, Alice Latier, Helen Renner Hughes, Howard Renner and Walter Renner. Memorial services will be Sunday at Cameron Woods in Angola with the Rev Wayne Berkesch officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton.
