Description	:	Funeral services were held for Florence (Honey) Stolp on January 11, 1997 at the United Methodist Church in Creighton. The Reverend Kenneth Purscell officiated. Interment is at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Stolp, Ryan Stolp, Roger Rossmeier, Michael Herout, Eldon Jones and Tony Knutson. Florence (Honey) Stolp, daughter of George and Margaret (Peters) Honey, was born April 29, 1904 in Carroll. As a child, she moved with her family to Knox County. Florence (Honey) Stolp, daughter of George and Margaret (Peters) Honey, was born April 29, 1904 in Carroll. As a child, she moved with her family to Knox County. Her mother died before she was a teenager and Florence took over the duties of cook and caretaker of her father, sister and two brothers. She married Cecil Wilson and lived in Niobrara. Two children were born to them. Merrit and Adelva. She married Bill Mark of Creighton and they moved to Midwest, WY, where Bill worked in the oil fields. Bill died in the early 1950's and she moved back to Creighton. Later she married Orville Stolp of Creighton and they lived on a farm for many years before retiring and moving to Creighton in 1972. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 1985. Orville died January, 1990. She was a member of Helping Hands Club of Creighton. Florence died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997 at Alpine Village Nursing Home in Verdigre at the age of ninety two years. Survivors include three stepchildren, Mrs. John (Barbara) Herout of Seward, William Stolp of Brunswick and Kenneth Stolp of Verdigre; many grandchildren and step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
