T.H. MOON Resident of Phillips County 41 Years Dies Friday at Farm Home Funeral services were held in Holyoke Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. T. H. Moon, who died at 3:20 o'clock Sunday afternoon at her farm home following an illness of several months' duration. The late Mrs. Moon, who was 78 years and three days old, had resided in Phillips County 41 years. Death was caused by cancer of the bowels. The final rites were conducted at 2:30 o'clock at the Colver Funeral Home with Rev. H. L. Taylor, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mrs. G. P. McFadden sang a solo. "Face to Face" and Mrs. J. Harold Ellis and Mrs. G. P. McFadden sang two duets, "Does Jesus Care?" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." All accompaniments were played by Mrs. G. L. Blincow. As a part of the funeral sermon, Rev. Taylor read Tennyson's "Crossing the Bar." Burial was made in the Holyoke Cemetery. The pallbearers were O. W. Holmes, Elmer Smith, Ray Scebold, Charles Worley, George Cheney and W.E. Johnston. Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moon and Mrs. Harold Johnson of Denver. Florence Hortense Fick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Colen Fick, was born August 29, 1862, at Houten, Ontario, Canada. She was united in marriage to Thomas H. Moon September 30, 1880, in Illinois. Following their marriage, they established a home in Illinois, where they lived until 1899, when they moved to Colorado and located on a farm near Holyoke, where they made their homes until their deaths. Mr. Moon died February 2. Surviving are two sons, T.E. Moon of Holyoke and Earl Moon of Denver; and six grandchildren. One daughter, Myrtle Ann, died in infancy.
