She was born to the late Albert and Tona Olson, February 16, 1915, in Preston, WI. Florence graduated from Mondovi High School, Mondovi, WI in 1933. Florence married the late Edward C. Brown in 1940, and they lived their entire adult lives in Ridgefield, WA. Florence and her husband built a home/dairy farm in the late 1940's on homesteaded property from her husband's family. They operated the dairy until they retired in the early 1970's. Florence continued to live in their family home until she sold the property and continued to live independently in Ridgefield until her death. Florence was a member of the Clark County Guernsey Cattle Club, and was on the Clark County Fair Board for numerous years. A farm girl at heart, she loved gardening and continued mowing her lawns until the age of 96. She also loved sewing and crocheting and continued those hobbies until her death. Florence was a fiercely independent, kind, and generous women who will be sorely missed by all. Florence is survived by her brother, Alston Olson, of Ridgefield, and many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, and great-great nieces/nephews. She also is survived by many great friends and their families. While she had no children of her own, she was an adopted mother and grandmother to many. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and siblings, Adeline McGuine and Earl Olson. Viewing will be 10am to 9 pm, Sunday, April 6th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Funeral service will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Monday, April 7th at 3 pm.
