Description	:	MRS. H. H. MADILL: Seldom has it been our duty to record such a sad death as that of Florence M. Sanderson. A gloom was spread over the whole community when it was whispered from one to another on Wednesday, April 7th, that "Florence was gone." Born in Shelburne but 23 years ago, the late Mrs. Madill was possessed of a large circle of friends. Born in Shelburne but 23 years ago, the late Mrs. Madill was possessed of a large circle of friends. She was bright and winning in her ways, indeed, it might be said of her that "none knew her but to love her." Only two years ago was she married to Harold H. Madill and since her removal to Windsor on that occasion she became the mother of two children, Milton L. aged one year and Florence Betty less than one month old now. Her sickness was of short duration. Her parents were Mr. and the late Mrs. L. A. Sanderson. She was educated at Shelburne High and Public Schools and Orangeville Business College and was employed previous to her marriage at D. E. Dean's legal office. She was a member of Wesley United Church in which institution she took a very active part particularly in the work of the senior C. G. I. T. and Mission Circle. The funeral, held on Friday afternoon, was a very large one attended by many of her old friends and school chums. The service was conducted at her late residence, Owen Sound St., by the Rev. J. A. Leece, of Wesley United Church and interment took place in Shelburne cemetery. Many beautiful wreaths and other floral tributes gave evidence of the esteem in which she was held and the love of those who knew her. The pallbearers were five brothers and one cousin of the bereaved husband: Messrs. Ernest, William, Russell, Cecil and Manson Madill and O. Stewart. Amongst the many who attended from a distance were: Mrs. A. Ray and daughter Helen and Mrs. J. White, of Niagara Falls; Mr. and Mrs. H. Stewart, Mr. O. Stewart, Russell Madill, of Toronto and Mrs. McCall, of Brampton. The sympathy of the whole community is extended to the sorrowing husband and father. Shelburne Free Press - April 15, 1926
