Description	:	Florence Mae Rowell, 96, of 11006 river Road, died at 7:30am Nov. 1, 2010, at Good Smaritan Society-Ottumwa. She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Van Buren County to Roy and Hattie Gipson McDaniel. She married Fred Rowell Dec. 16, 1932, in Lancaster, MO. He preceded her in death May 5, 2003. Florence belonged to square dance clubs in Ottumwa, the B-Squares and Dudes and Dolls, along with other square dance clubs in the area. Surviving are a son, Marvin F. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Rowell; a grandson, Terry Rowell; three brothers, Bert, Earl and Raymond McDaniel; and a sister, Opal Millard. Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday at the Reece Funeral Home with Pastor David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will open after 10am today at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8pm this evening. Memorials may be made to the Good Smaritan Society-Ottumwa or Good Smaritan Home Health and Hospice.
