Description	:	FLORENCE NELL STROUSE Mrs. Florence Nell Strouse went home on Saturday, March 9, 2013 to be with her Lord. She was born to Mr. Thomas "Sammie" Neel and Florrie Nobles Neel on August 15, 1928. Mrs. Strouse grew up in Grand Ridge, FL with her siblings. She delighted in telling stories of growing up in the country and the adventures she had during her life. Mrs. Strouse enjoyed telling about the family history and passing it down to her children and grandchildren. Her family and home were her pride and joy; and she always looked after everybody. She was born to Mr. Thomas "Sammie" Neel and Florrie Nobles Neel on August 15, 1928. Mrs. Strouse grew up in Grand Ridge, FL with her siblings. She delighted in telling stories of growing up in the country and the adventures she had during her life. Mrs. Strouse enjoyed telling about the family history and passing it down to her children and grandchildren. Her family and home were her pride and joy; and she always looked after everybody. Mrs. Strouse also had a passion for flowers and growing a garden. Her yard was always beautiful, adorned with many colorful flowers and plants. Her garden was always bountiful. Mrs. Strouse was preceded in death by parents; her first husband and her children's father Harry Deming. Her second husband Robert "Bob" C. Strouse, two brothers W.C. and Awsley Neel, and one sister Helen Neel Mathis. She is survived by her companion of thirteen years, Willie Raines of Cottondale, her sons George N. Deming and wife Marilyn of Marianna, and Mike Deming and wife Elisa of Alford, grandchildren Dawna Murkerson and husband Chris, Erik Deming of Alford, Susan Jarmon and husband Jeremy of Marianna, George A. Deming of Marianna, six great grandchildren Christina Nelson, Alysha McAlpin, Sarah McAlpin, Kylee McAlpin, Joey Deming all of Marianna, Logan Deming of Chatworth, Illinois, one great-great grandchild Justin Nelson of Marianna. As she has spread her wings and flown onward to Heaven, she leaves behind many memories to cherish. Services for Mrs. Strouse will be held from the graveside at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Dykes Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Hamilton officiating. A time of remembrance will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
