The Rev Roger O Kuhrt officiated and interment was in the Wilbur Cemetery. The Robertson Funeral Home of Wilbur was in charge of arrangements. Mrs Clarence Bahr of Wilbur was the organist, and Frank Hanson, Wilbur, was the soloist. Active pall bearers were four nephews of the deceased, Dean Angstrom of Wilbur; Merle, Dellis and Boyd Angstrom, all of Creston; and two friends Henry Kuehne of Keller and Charles Showalter, Creston. Honorary pall bearers were Phil Gardner, Richard L Hedrick, Rex Bean, Pete Bean, and Harold Roloff, all of Creston; Dick Copenhaver of Colville and Bill Kuehne of Keller. Florence O Roby was born on April 25, 1907, in Bancroft, Nebraska, and was a lifelong resident of the Creston area, the family having moved to Creston in 1908. She passed away in the Wilbur ambulance en route to the Memorial Hospital in Davenport after being involved in a two car accident Thursday afternoon, Nov 12, about two miles west of Creston. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Hills in Davenport, on Oct 15, 1926. Her husband preceded her in death in Jan 1958. To this union one daughter, Anna (Mrs Rodney J Runkel) was born. Mrs Hills was a member of the Creston Christian Church and the Wilson Grange at Telford, and for many years has been a foster mother for many young people needing a home and guidance. In addition to her daughter, Mrs Runkel of Coulee Dam, she is survived by three grandsons, Kim, Jeff, and Jay Runkel, Coulee Dam; two brothers, Thomas and Vilas Roby, both of Creston; two sisters, Mrs Rachel McNew, Wilbur, and Mrs Edith Murbach, Four Lakes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
