Mrs. Ainley was born in Ottumwa January 11, 1861, the daughter of Ellen Jane Thrush and Grimes Pumroy. She had lived away from Ottumwa for the last 35 years. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schneider, Miss Harriet Ainley and Mrs. William Rolfe of Chicago; son, Joseph Ainley of Uravan, Colo.; brothers, Levi Pumroy of Ottumwa and Craig Pumroy of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Mrs. Rose Kent of Ottumwa. Services were held today at 3 p.m. in Lester Jay funeral home, conducted by the Rev. L.H. Matheus, pastor of Trinity Episcopal church. Burial was in Shaul cemetery.
