Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery. F. Leona Elliott was born May 28, 1918, at Bangor, IA, the daughter of Harvey Eugene and Minerva (Randall) Borton. She lived in Bangor until 1927 when the family moved to Hollandale, Minnesota. She received her education in Minnesota graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1936, then returned to Iowa in 1942 where she has been a resident of Ames every since. She married Glenn D. Elliott on July 8, 1940 at Bear Creek. To this union was born one son. She worked as garment folder at Collegiate Manufacturing until she retired in 1985. Leona is survived by her son, James (Kris) Elliott of Ames; a sister, Lucille (Tom) Glenn of Union; two grandchildren, Steven (Kate) Elliott, and Leslie Elliott; and one great-grandson, Jameson Elliott. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn on February 1, 1975; her brother, Archie Borton; and two sisters, Elnora Borton and Ada Harris.
