She was the daughter of Alexander Huff and Martha Sallee Huff and was the youngest member of a family of fourteen children, eight of whom are still living and are the heads of families. She was united in marriage with Dudley Parmley, September 15, 1878. They came to Iowa about twenty-five years ago and have lived in or near Kellogg since that time. She was the daughter of Alexander Huff and Martha Sallee Huff and was the youngest member of a family of fourteen children, eight of whom are still living and are the heads of families. She was united in marriage with Dudley Parmley, September 15, 1878. They came to Iowa about twenty-five years ago and have lived in or near Kellogg since that time. Four children were born to them, all of whom are living. They are Odie, aged 17; Effie, aged 16; Omer, aged 11 and Oscar, aged 12. Two brothers and one sister reside in Kentucky, one sister in Tennessee, one brother and sister in Kansas. Her brother, L. E. Huff of Missouri and her sister, Mrs. T. J. Moody of Kellogg were the only members of the family to attend the funeral. Although not a member of any church, she had made her peace with God more than fifteen years ago and was ready for the change. She made all arrangements for her funeral in advance. It was her dying request that her husband keep the children together as long as possible. A large number of neighbors and sympathizing friends gathered at the home for the funeral services, which were conducted by the Methodist minister Monday afternoon at two o'clock. The bereaved husband and children have the heartfelt sympathy of all in the loss of a kind and affectionate wife and mother.
