He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Mary Aline Hibon George; two brothers and a sister; Loyd George and Jr. George and Thelma George. He is survived by his wife, Laura M. Waggoner George of Smithville; a son, Marvin George of Smithville; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Jackie and Buck Burton and Shelia and John Adamson, all of Smithville and Carolyn Colegrove, Patricia Lake and Deanda Wilky all of Murfreesboro; by 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, J.W.George of Shelbyville,Wayne George of Ashland Cirty. and Timmy George of Dowelltown; foue sisters, Wilma Ferrell of Smithville, Cindy George of Dowelltown, Mary McNesse of Nashville and Edna Ruth Moore of Oklahoma; and by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Marshall Ferrell, Wade Ferrell, Chad Burton, B.J. Burton, Jerry Parker, Bobby Keller, Jeffery Smith, and Thomas Waggoner.
