He was born Nov. 29, 1910, in Holyoke, Colo. to Frank and Clara Miller Griffin. He married Thelma Holmes on Dec. 26, 1938. A resident of Ottumwa since 1950, he had been an employee of John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 1975. He served for three years in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Griffin and a brother, Leo Griffin. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shaul Cemetery, the Rev. William Flewelling of the Davis St. Christian Church officiating; followed by Masonic Services at the cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. today at the Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Masons. Memorials may be made to the Davis St. Christian Church.
