Kinney, 85, of 309 Tindell, died at 12:15 p.m., Sept. 9, 1997 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center. He was born Dec. 8, 1911 [sic] in Wichita, Kan., to John and Mae Rowe Kinney. He married Betty E. Kinney, 85, of 309 Tindell, died at 12:15 p.m., Sept. 9, 1997 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center. He was born Dec. 8, 1911 [sic] in Wichita, Kan., to John and Mae Rowe Kinney. He married Betty E. Carnes on Sept. 30, 1945. He lived in Ottumwa most of his life and was retired from the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad after 30 years. He was a member of the Evangelistic Temple. He is survived by his wife; six [sic] daughters, Mary Poteete of Talala, Okla., Joyce Felsing of Center Pointe, Sharon Kae Davis of Des Moines, Connie Joan Sales of Claremore, Okla., and Evelyn Jessop of Ottumwa; a son, Floyd Michael Kinney of Bloomfield; 35 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter; two grandsons; and two brothers, Lawrence and Charles Kinney. The service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Evangelistic Temple, the Rev. Tommy Brunk officiating. Burial will be at Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. today at the Reece Funeral Home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jerry Shafer, Tommy Biasi, Larry Peuker, Nicholas Felsing, George Shafer III and Richard Kinney. A memorial has been established to the family.
