Description	:	Floyd Maurice Handorf, son of Frederick E. and Nellie Ellison Handorf, was born Oct 14, 1913, on a farm in Lincoln Township, Page County, Ia. The family moved to East River Township in 1917 where Floyd attended rural school. He graduated from Clarinda High School in 1930. On Dec 11, 1943, he was united in marriage to Eileen McNees. Floyd spent his lifetime farming near his parents' home until moving to Clarinda in October 1986. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; his son Donald and grandson Andrew Michael of Ames, Ia; a brother, Frederic, of Bedford, Ia; sisters Audrey Johnson of Denver, Co, Valera Drinkhouse and husband Carl of Littleton, Co, Erma Wood and husband Orville of New Market, Ia, a nephew Gary Olinger and wife Shyrl of Nelsonville, Oh, a great-niece Laura Jean Olinger of The Plains, Oh; and a host of relatives and friends. Floyd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends in whom he had a genuine and loving interest. Memorial services were held at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 1988, at 10:30 am conducted by Rev Ronald Knapp with Grace Perry as organist. Casket bearers were Lyle Ellison, Duane Hartstack, David Hartstack, Dan Davison, Greg Holt and Jay Sunderman. Final resting place Memory Cemetery.
