Description	:	Floyd A. Riemann 1914 - 2006 CLAFLIN - Floyd A. Riemann, 91, died March 13 at Ellsworth County Medical Center. He was born Oct. 30, 1914, at Claflin, the son of John D. and Mary J. (Markel) Riemann. He married Stella Arensman on Aug. 27, 1948, at Ellsworth. She died Aug. 25, 2003. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime rural resident of Claflin. Read More	Floyd A. Riemann 1914 - 2006 CLAFLIN - Floyd A. Riemann, 91, died March 13 at Ellsworth County Medical Center. He was born Oct. 30, 1914, at Claflin, the son of John D. and Mary J. (Markel) Riemann. He married Stella Arensman on Aug. 27, 1948, at Ellsworth. She died Aug. 25, 2003. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime rural resident of Claflin. Riemann was a member of United Methodist Church, Claflin; and DAV Chapter 27, Great Bend. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the 127 Infantry 32 Division-Red Arrow in Australia, New Guinea, and the Philipines from 1941 to 1945 as a machine gunner, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Survivors include one son, Ralph Riemann of Great Bend; one brother, Vernon Riemann of Claflin; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Velma Panzer; one brother, Harold Riemann; and one sister, Elva Brinson. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Sarah Hickson de Salazar officiating. Burial will be at the CLaflin Cemetery with military graveside rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
