Description	:	Pittsfield-Floyd R. Humphrey, 97, passed peacefully, from this life to the next, surrounded by his loving family on April 29, 2009, and will be sadly missed. He was born on April 5, 1912, the son of La Forest and Ethel (Rowe) Humphrey, and lived his entire life in Pittsfield. Floyd attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from MCI in the class of 1930. Read More	Pittsfield-Floyd R. Humphrey, 97, passed peacefully, from this life to the next, surrounded by his loving family on April 29, 2009, and will be sadly missed. He was born on April 5, 1912, the son of La Forest and Ethel (Rowe) Humphrey, and lived his entire life in Pittsfield. Floyd attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from MCI in the class of 1930. In 1938, he married Phyllis B. Sinclair of Pittsfield. They spent 53 wonderful years together before she passed away in 1991, sharing many special days at their camps on Moosehead Lake and Sibley Pond. Floyd always loved the out of doors and hunted and fished his entire life. He shot his last deer at the age of 92. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clifton and Merton Humphrey, and a sister, Barbara Mathews, all of Pittsfield. He is survived by two sons, Floyd Humphrey and his wife, Trudy, of Pittsfield, and Dick Humphrey and his wife, Pat, of Detroit; three grandchildren, Jonathan Humphrey and his wife, Erica, of Smithfield, Susan Schroeder and her husband, Don, of Dresden, and Clinton Hurlburt and his fiancée', Sara Brooks, of Unity; four great grandchildren, Beth and Joanna Humphrey, Eva Schroeder, and Heather Hulburt; a sister-in-law, Polly Humphrey and a brother-in-law, Ben Mathews, both of Pittsfield, brother-in-laws and their wives, Linwood and Edith Sinclair of Corinna, Elwood and Betty Sinclair of Detroit, Laurice and Verna Sinclair and Wayne and Clivia Sinclair all of Pittsfield, brother-in-law, Merlon Sinclair of Auburndale, Florida, and sister-in-law, Margaret Sinclair of Pittsfield.
