Description	:	Floyd William Collins, son of Elige and Gertie (West) Collins, was born March 3, 1928, in Wayne County, Iowa and passed away November 25, 2021, at Westview Acres Care Center in Leon, Iowa at the age of 93 years. In 1948, he married Zelma Annalea Adair in Leon, Iowa. To this union, five children were born, Katherine, twins Donald and Ronald, Patricia, and Betsy. Read More	Floyd William Collins, son of Elige and Gertie (West) Collins, was born March 3, 1928, in Wayne County, Iowa and passed away November 25, 2021, at Westview Acres Care Center in Leon, Iowa at the age of 93 years. In 1948, he married Zelma Annalea Adair in Leon, Iowa. To this union, five children were born, Katherine, twins Donald and Ronald, Patricia, and Betsy. They lived in Decatur County and Floyd worked various jobs. He worked at Crouse Chevrolet for many years before opening his own body repair shop in 1966, at his home. He helped organize the Leon Saddle Club, serving as president or vice president. The entire family traveled around the area participating in horse shows. He was involved in the original Leon rodeo and could be seen helping to park vehicles at each and every performance for as long as he was able. Floyd's life was the Collins Body Shop where he worked with his sons, Ron and Don. He operated a tow truck so holiday and family get-togethers were often interrupted by a call asking for a tow. He always went. He enjoyed farming and watching old westerns on TV as well. Having visits from his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren was important to him. Proceeding him in death were his parents; wife, Zelma in 1991; and siblings, Frances Collins, Florence Leahy, and Richard Collins. Survivors include his children, Kathy Howell of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, Don (Karen) Collins of Leon, Iowa, Ron Collins of Leon, Iowa, Pat (Galen) Becker of Cumberland, Iowa, and Betsy (Phil) Clark of Gibbon, Nebraska; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
