Read More	Bellows Boy Dies At Home Friday - Had Been an Invalid Since He was a Small Boy - Forest Lynn Bellows, who has had paralysis since he was a small boy, passed away at the home of his parents in Coon township Friday night. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Mueller. Burial was made in the Newell cemetery. Forest Lynn Bellows, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Bellows was born at their farm home in Coon township on August 28, 1909. He died at the age of 20 years, 5 months and 23 days. He attended school in Coon district No. 9 for two years and later for part of a year here in Newell. A form of paralysis attacked this lad of seven years and made him an invalid for all the rest of his life. For the past ten years he has been unable to walk. Everything possible was done to cure the malady. He was taken to hospitals in Iowa City, Des Moines, and Chicago, but no help or remedy was found. Forrest was inclined to use every possible power left him. He read; he corresponded with some shut-ins, and others. The radio became a great help and comfort to him, having had one in the home for four years. Much of his time when he was able to sit up, was spent in making very beautiful embroidery. He passed away quite unexpectedly on the evening of Friday, Feb. 21, after several weeks of feeling quite well. A life of hardship like his calls for such compensations as the Christian religion promises in the world to come. The remaining family circle is composed of his father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Agnes Olsen, and two brothers, Farley and Basil.
