| Description | : | Forrest F. Spencer, 85, longtime Libby resident, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Libby Care Center. He was born May 13, 1923, in Libby to Vern and Marie Mitchell Spencer. He attended the University of Montana until he entered World War II in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a logger for more than 40 years. He met and married Kay Vander Boegh and they were married for 61 years. Survivors include his Kay; sons, David (Dee), Richard and Lawrence (Kari); 11 grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. |

During WWII, PFC Spencer was a member of Company D, 310th Infantry, 78th Division and served in the European Theater.
