Parsons was a veteran employee of John Deere Ottumwa Works, having been employed there as an electrician for the past 32 years. The son of Cornellius and Lillie Countryman Parsons, he was born in Van Buren county April 27, 1905. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for 35 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. His marriage to Caroline W. Edmondson took place August 28, 1926, in Ottumwa. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Donald Parsons and Edward Parsons, students at Northeast Missouri State Teachers college in Kirksville, and Jack Parsons at home; one daughter, Judy Parsons at home; and a brother and one sister preceded him in death. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending completion of funeral arrangements. Parsons Services Funneral services for Forrest H. Parsons will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel. The 51-year-old Ottumwan died at his home at 514 Wabash avenue Tuesday about 5 a.m. The Rev. Herbert Granning, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran church, will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald L. Johnson, Floyd Mooney, Sam Kinsinger, Robert Shaffer, Ray Miller and Clarence Cratty.
