Description	:	Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Monday, 5 February 1979 Forrest M. Ludington, 73, of 1414 N. Broadwell died Saturday afternoon at a Grand Island hospital. Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. George Wheat of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island will officiate. Mr. Ludington was born Sept. 24, 1905, at Gregory, S.D., the son of John and Jessie McMillin Ludington. He received his education at Cushing and was a graduate of Belgrade High School. He was employed in farm work until Jan. 16, 1930, when he married Lucille Kemper at Page. They lived for several years in Howard and Greeley counties where they farmed. They moved to Grand Island in 1951 and he worked for Kelley's Market and Willman's Grocery. His last employment was as a foreman at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. He retired in 1971. Mr. Ludington was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Vonna) Larson of Palmer and Mrs. Ron (Carron) Evans of Loveland, Colo.; two sons, Dean of Denver, Colo., and Dale of Torrington, Wyo.; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Lund of Genoa, and a brother, Paul of Fullerton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne.
