Mrs. Mullinax worked in textiles and was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church.Surviving Mrs. Mullinax is a daughter, Lewis Denise Mullinax Shelton of Greenmountain, NC; two sons, Terry Lee Mullinax and Michael Ward (Buck) Mullinax, both of Blacksburg; three brothers, Howell Harris of Gaffney, David Harris of Campobello, and Donald (Whitey) Harris of Blacksburg; three sisters, Joann Harrison of Blacksburg, Evelyn Peterson of Gaffney, and Mary Jane Johnson of Gaffney; and five grandchildren, Jason, Jarod and Jake Shelton of Greenmountain, NC, and Angel and Landon Mullinax of Blacksburg.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Winfred, and Arnold (Runt) Harris; and two sisters, Dorothy Mae Harris and Yvonne Ellis.The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 until 8:30 at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, 2009, at 1 at Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church, with Rev. Josh Hardin officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.The family will be at Buck Mullinax's residence, 110 Corry Street, Blacksburg.
