Description	:	Frances Beniger Hysell, the world's best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, one day before her 81st birthday. We will all miss her loving spirit, her sense of humor, and warm smile. Fran was born Sept. 27, 1923, on the family farm in East Helena. We will all miss her loving spirit, her sense of humor, and warm smile. Fran was born Sept. 27, 1923, on the family farm in East Helena. She was the third of five children born to Anna Fleischaker and Frank Beniger. Fran loved the family farm and spent many happy hours riding behind her dad's tractor while he plowed the fields. She attended grade school and middle school in East Helena and graduated from Helena High School. On Oct. 20, 1940, she married Floyd C. Hysell. All three of their children were born in Helena, where they lived for many years. In 1961, the family moved to Butte, where Fran and Floyd ran Master Cleaners for over 15 years. Fran was a member of the Butte Christian Women's Club. Fran and Floyd returned to East Helena in 1979 so that she could care for her aging mother, Anna Beniger. At this time, Fran and Floyd contracted with Mountain Bell, cleaning their CDOs throughout Montana. Fran was an excellent seamstress and made many one-of-a- kind outfits for her daughters, including first-rate suits and coats. At Christmas she baked up and mailed a treasured box of homemade holiday specialty cookies, fudge, divinity, Greek cookies and the best povitca you ever tasted to all of her children and grandchildren. Christmas was such a special time of the year for her and she loved to decorate her house. When her son Cliff was the head football coach at MSU, she saved for him every article ever written about his team and spent hours pasting them into scrapbooks. Fran, also known as Grandma down the street, always attended Autumn and Drew's sporting events including wrestling, basketball, football and track. Fran loved everything under Big Bky Montana, including trout fishing on creeks and camping in the majestic mountain wilderness. She also loved her flower garden and working in the yard. She had a wonderful pioneer "can do" spirit. Fran is survived by her son, Cliff Hysell of Bozeman, and his two daughters, Kristen and Callie; her daughter Debra Lauer and her husband, Gary, of Twin Falls, Idaho; her daughter Kim Waltee and her husband, Mark, of Montana City and their two children, Autumn and Drew; and Bobbie Locken, a beloved niece who was like a daughter; Three sisters, Ann Peck and Elsie Magennis of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Margaret Hanshaw of Auburn, Wash., survive her along with many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Floyd Hysell, her brother, Frank Beniger, and her parents Anna and Frank Beniger, preceded her in death. Visitation for friends will begin at 1 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at Retz Funeral Home Chapel with burial immediately following the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
